Flower and Produce Show 2018

This year, there had been some concern on the part of the gardeners as to whether the produce would be alright for the Show bench, and some flowers had suffered from the recent heatwave, but all was well and the entries in the Vegetables and Fruit, Flowers and the Floral Art sections were of a high standard.

The handicraft entries had increased and the photography section had also increased with the introduction this year of digital entries.

As always, the Home Produce impressed the judge with taste and presentation. This year, it was also very pleasing to have entries in the Junior sections.

The cafe area was again very busy all afternoon.

The Show ended with the popular auction of produce, by Gethin Rees from the Cutcombe Livestock Markets, the presentation of cups by Gerry Lewis, the Mayor and the raffle -in all, a most enjoyable occasion.
