Thursday 17th February 2022 7.30pm - DALE CHERRY - How to Photograph Your Garden
Dale will be advising us on how to take photographs of our gardens and the wider landscape, both on a camera or mobile ‘phone.
Thursday 17th March 2022 7.30pm - ELIZABETH HOLMAN - Roses
Elizabeth will tell us all we need to know to care for roses from March onwards including pruning and general care.
Thursday 21st April 2022 7.30pm - ANDREW HUGHES - How We Can Help Our Soil Beat Climate Change
Andrew will talk about the monumental
changes that are taking place to store carbon in the soil whilst still keeping
up with the demands for food. Farmers and gardeners can be at the forefront of
reducing the effect of climate change by learning to manage our soils better.

The history of exotic plants and where they are in the 21st century garden and where not to plant them.
Thursday 23rd June 2022 7.30pm – FRANCIS BURROUGHS – Tales From The Potting Shed
A historically based talk containing slides, humour and useful tips from days gone by including old fashioned remedies for garden pests.
Thursday 21st July 2022 7.30pm – SALLY NEX – All Year Round Vegetable Gardening
Sally is a garden journalist based in
Somerset. Her gardening career started out by growing a few peas and beans in
her back garden. Her talk will cover how to keep the vegetable garden
productive throughout the winter and into early spring. She will share tips and
tricks for maximising the produce from your garden.
Thursday 18th August 2022 7.30pm – SUE APPLEGATE – Stocklands Vineyard, Bridgewater - A Trip & Talk On Site
Sue will take us on a tour of her
vineyard and host a wine tasting of three of the vineyard’s award winning
wines. (There will be a charge of £10 per person to cover the cost of the wine
tasting. More information will be given nearer the time. Booking will be
essential)
Thursday 15th September 2022 7.30pm – MARK HINSLEY – Trees In Your Garden
Mark is an arboricultural consultant.
He will cover the world of domestic trees in his talk; their selection, the law
appertaining to them, the risks and benefits.
Thursday 20th October 2022 7.30pm – CLAIRE FOSTER – Fruit In Your Garden
Claire is based in Exeter and has 20 years’ experience in horticulture and an RHS Level 3 in advanced Horticulture. She specialises in border design, kitchen gardens, pruning and garden ‘blogging’; general maintenance and care of soft fruit and getting a larger crop; understanding your soil and watching out for pests and diseases.

Nick is the son of the late, great Geoff Hamilton of BBC Gardeners’ World. Nick started gardening at the age of 9 and can still be found today hands-on at Barnsdale carrying on his father’s legacy. His talk will take us through the 25 years he has been at the helm.
