Thursday 17th Jun 2021 7.30pm - KATHERINE CROUCH - The Seeded Garden
Katherine makes a return visit to talk about collecting seeds from your own garden. She was BBC Gardener of the Year in 1999 and BBC Gardener of the Decade in 2008. She also won Gold at the Chelsea Flower Show with her garden design in 2013. Her talk will cover beautiful self-seeding garden plants but also situations where they do not work and take over the garden!

An insight into the inspiration behind Penny Adie's fund-raising book, Hope in the Hedgerows, that went on to raise, through sales, £10,000 for Help Musicians. The project turned out to be more than the challenge she could ever have envisaged. Combining her photos of country flowers with many literary contributions submitted by people from all walks of life, they formed a telling book giving an appreciation of the far-reaching effect of the crisis that hit the globe in 2020.

Sue gardens in the mild climate of the Tamar Valley on two-thirds of an ace sit which is a great source of inspiration and enjoyment for her. Over the years, her garden has provided the location for a number of projects carried out for BBC Gardeners’ World magazine on a diverse range of subjects. Her approach to gardening has always been very sustainable and wild-life friendly.
Thursday 21st Oct 2021 7.30pm - JOHN ADDISON - Pruning Fruit Trees and Shrubs
John also makes a return visit to talk about pruning fruit trees on this occasion. He has been in horticulture for 50+ years and during that time has been a judge at the Chelsea Flower Show and a part-time gardener at Cannington College.
