All talks take place at Dulverton Town Hall, Fore Street, Dulverton.  
7.00pm for 7.30pm start unless shown otherwise.
Light refreshments on arrival.

15th May  -  Claire Hart  -  ‘Square Metre Gardening’ - Claire has written for magazines such as ‘Grow Your Own’ and ‘Kitchen Gardens’ and will be giving us ideas on how to grow vegetables in small spaces including raised beds and vertical gardening.
 

19th June  -  Steve Taylor  -  ‘Improve your memory by gardening’

Steve is a retired landscape gardener and has been giving talks for around twenty years. He will be giving us tips for improving our memory while doing the thing we love!
 

18th September  -  Brian Carlson -  ‘All about pelargoniums’

With nearly fifteen years’ experience in growing and show flowers Brian’s talk will cover propagation, growing and preparing for shows. He will be bringing some plants with him for sale on the evening.

16th October  -  Gavin Haig -  ‘The healing garden’

Gavin Haig is a retired surgeon who will talk about creating gardens that encourage wellbeing. His home, which has been featured on TV, has a great variety of habitats and even provides a home for the rarest butterflies in Europe - the Marsh Fritillary. From earliest times plants have been used for their medicinal properties.

20th November  -  Sue Kent  -  ‘Flower borders’

 
Well known to many from Gardeners’ World, our keynote speaker this year is Sue Kent, author and presenter on Gardeners’ World. She is an enthusiastic speaker who comes at gardening from a different perspective. Sue is a hugely engaging presenter and her talks are engaging, interesting and fun. Her talk this evening centres on creating colourful flower borders. This will be a ticketed event; further details will be available nearer the date.
